My mother was Elizabeth "Libba" White Girard, also a Sharon Towers Resident who passed away in Sept. 2011 age age 94. devastating, and now we must give up John. Betty died in 2008; she wouuld have grtieved with me over John's death. But we are left with the happiest memories of dinners with the Roddeys--Laura's "tiramisu" and John's sparkling wit and philosophical musings. My deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the bereaved family.

John and I first became friends when we worked together at American Trust's East Morehead Branch in the 1950's. I last saw him at my Mother's funeral in 2003. He was always such a pleasure to be around. I shall always have fond memories of him!
