Not sure what to say?

I was honored to have you as a teacher in high school, you were one of the best! Glad I got to see you on a nature trail in Joliet a few years before you passed. Rest in peace good sir.

I am grateful for the way you encouraged us to learn and be open to new ideas. I hope you are resting peacefully and that your family is well.

So sorry to hear of the sad passing of John. May he rest in peace and please know that we are thinking of you all and keeping you in our prayers.

Phil and I are so sorry to hear that John passed. I know what a great person he was and Phil certainly enjoyed working with him. He told me that John was an excellent English teacher and his students really liked him. Ruth, you and your whole family are in our prayers. God bless John and you. You have our sympathy.

I am so very sorry, Ruth, that you have lost John. I only met him a couple of times to know that he was a good man. And always so good to you. You have two children and several grandchildren to help you through this plus many friends. And of course the many Sisters you have known. Love and prayers to you and your family. Dorothy

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy on the passing of John. Husband, Brother and Father. Ruth and Children and Judy Hicks (Rohan), know my prayers are with your family at this most difficult time. May John rest with the Angels.

Dear Ruth, I can only hold you in my heart as you say good-bye to your wonderful husband. He was such a great man - warm, tender, a fine, fun loving companion. I know he will be sorely missed. Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Love, Mary Jo
