Maureen,
I am still remembering John and missing his smiling face while waiting to bet his haircut. As I said before he was the nicest man I ever met and I will never forget him.

As I grow in my practice and appear before a number of judges, I often find myself thinking of Judge Roll. He was by far the most compassionate, patient, and fair judge I have known. I am understanding more and more what a privilege it was to clerk for him. I know I will feel his influence the rest of my career and will do my best to follow the excellent example he set both personally and professionally.

Although I was unable to attend any of the ceremonies and events that took place in Tucson during the past several days, John, Maureen, and the Roll family remain in my thoughts. Something happens virtually every day of my life that causes me to think about John. We miss him terrible, but we shall see him again one day.

Our deepest sympathies continue to be with the Roll family. We know we have lost a Christian leader and role model in our midst.

Maureen,
It has been one year since the terrible Tucson shooting when John was killed. I wanted you to know that a day hasn't gone by that i haven't thought of him and your family. He will always be missed.

Maureen...
I am so sorry to hear that your beloved John is no longer with us. John certainly followed in the steps of Jesus Christ. John was an inspiration to every life he touched. Even when we attended STS Peter & Pauls together his character could not be matched. And when you and I attended Immculate Heart I viewed you as a very special and ethical friend...an elegent angel with a great sence of humor. Remember us The Corpse 5 how silly was that ! Well...we all know one thing John is...
