Not sure what to say?

To Lain, Reagan, and Nancy Kate, I just found out the news and it's wrecked me. I had the privilege of knowing John not just as a fellow congregant at Redeemer Lutheran as a child, but also as a political adversary as an adult. Not to put too fine a point on it, but he whipped my butt both times, metaphorically speaking of course. I always found him to be a worthy foe, even when I wasn't up to the challenge. He was always gracious and kind to me when we battled, no matter how heated or...

Lain and family, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your husband and my friend, John. My sincere apologies for not responding earlier, but I am just now learning of his passing. Even though our paths over the years only crossed at the occasional White Station Class of '67 reunions, I remember both of you fondly and deeply regret not staying in touch to follow his exceptional career. Sorry for your loss my condolences.

Dear Lain and family. I was so sorry to hear of John's passing; only early this morning. It has been years since I had the opportunity to interact with John in local party matters. He was a true intellect. I wish I had had the opportunity to work with John more. Please accept my condolences and very best wishes for Gods' grace for you and your family!

Please except my sympathy ,John was well respected and a great friend God bless his family.

To Lain, Pat, Peggy, and families, I am so sorry to hear of John's death. I have SO many memories of John and all of you--and so much gratitude for your taking this Indiana girl under your wings when I moved into White Station as a junior. I was on the debate team with John and quickly recognized how incredibly bright he was. He and Ed Pultz led the team and were an inspiration, for certain. I learned a lot from them! John's storied career and multiple interests reflect a life of...

The Spathiphyllum Plant

Although we were sometimes on opposite sides of the political fence, I regarded John as a friend as well as a highly respected colleague. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and colleagues.

I am the RNC Committeeman from Florida. John was a mentor and an inspiration to me during the time that we served together on the RNC.I will never forget serving with him on the 2016 Convention Rules Committee in Cleveland. He was a true patriot. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Peter Feaman, RPOF National Committeeman
