Dear Sharon, Betsy, Anne, Rachel and families
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't believe that John has left this world, but the influence he has made our all of our lives will long continue. I first met him when I travelled with him and Betsy to Poland in 1992 and gosh we had a lot of fun! He was such a supportive dad, so proud of all of his children and their art. He must have been very proud of the Guggenheim Fellowship.

You are all in our thoughts.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with John early in his career at Michigan State. He was a kind, gentile and caring man, who was always focused in helping others. The world is, without question, a better place because of John's work and life. May his journey richly reward him for his unselfish dedication to others.

Dear Sharon, Betsy, Anne, Rachel and families, We were so saddened to hear of John's passing. We wish you great comfort at this time and will remember John's presence and warm heart throughout our days. Much love, Angela, Renato, Luca and Giovanni Lombardi

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I am a former MSU Dept. of Psychiatry employee and remember Dr. Schneider's caring and positive outlook and his continuous smile. He will be missed by so many.

Remembering John's ready smile and constant good cheer.....
