I am very saddened to hear of John Scott's passing. On the times I was in New York City, I used to visit John in the organ area. Since I sing in a choir in Jacksonville, Fla., we discussed music , unfortunately not nearly enough. I first met John at Christ Church St. Laurence Sydney on Easter Sunday morning 1978 when he came as an organ scholar with St. John's College Cambridge.To say he was an outstanding musician and person is an understatement as he was so very gifted yet so humble.
