Not sure what to say?

I was a student in John's Harvard Business School course, Human Behavior in Organizations 46 years ago. That course and particularly his teaching changed the entire direction of my career and my life. I am deeply saddened by his passing.

Dear Marcia and Matt,
I was very saddened to hear of your father's recent death, as well as your Mom's several years ago. "Father" was dry-witted and very cool. It is my impression he lived a full and wonderful life. Please know I am thinking of you, and I hope you get some pleasure of thinking of your parents being together again.
lots of love, and God bless you.

Sally, Matt & the Seiler Family,
Words can not express how I still feel on your loss. It is a sad day when we lose a loved one. My heart is with you.

I have always admired John Seiiler from our first meeting 45 years ago for both his community activism and independence of mind.

I met John during a construction project a few years ago. As details of John’s academic and professional life began to unfold during our time together, I could not help but marvel at his many accomplishments. Equally impressive to me, was his continued involvement in various organizations, community and otherwise, at his age. The aforementioned comments aside, the real passion for John, in my estimation, was his family and friends. Rarely does anyone come across somebody as genuine as John...

Like his son, John Seiler sounds like a remarkably colorful man of many talents. I am sure he will be sadly missed. My condolences to the entire Seiler family.

I never met you but I had breakfast a table away from you at Grant's Camps the morning you died. I marveled how a guy with portable oxygen would be setting out on a boat on Kennebego Lake. It is a very beautiful spot where nature surrounds one and can make you feel you want to linger there for a long time. Bon Voyage.

Thank you for your willing smile and wonderful personality, John!
