John Sheehan

1948 - 2017

John Sheehan, 69, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 20 years of Evelyn (Perugini) Sheehan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Born in Hartford on April 25, 1948, he was the son of the late James and Gertrude (Chase) Sheehan. John was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for many years for Hartford Tech Manufacturing. He enjoyed woodworking, tending to his flower garden and was a lover of animals, especially dogs. He was a compassionate, generous man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his devoted wife Evelyn, John is survived by his daughter Myliza Sheehan of Cromwell, step-daughter Tina Piscitelli and boyfriend Steve of Meriden; his step-son, Shawn Piscitelli and wife Christine of Middlefield; four adored grandchildren, Olivia Sheehan, Caiman Johnson, Nicholas Piscitelli and Joseph Piscitelli; his brother, James Sheehan of Cromwell and three sisters, Jane Sullivan of Cromwell, Joy Nailor of North Carolina and Holly Churchill of Texas, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Robert and Thomas Sheehan. Special thanks to the nurses and aides at Amberwoods in Farmington, especially Don and Paula in addition, thank you to the Hospice nurses and support staff. Family and friends may call on Friday (September 29) from 4-6 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. The calling hours will conclude with a service at 6 p.m. followed by military honors at the funeral chapel.
