Dearest Aunt Jannie, Joni and Mario,

We want you to know how deeply saddened we have been contemplating your loss. Uncle John was a very good man, whose very presence made this world a better place. We count ourselves fortunate that we were privileged to have known him.

We will remember always his spirited personality and how kind, thoughtful and respectful he was. We believe he would have wanted his family and friends to remember him that way.

I will miss Uncle John very much and in many ways. His sense of humor as well as his sarcasm will always be remembered. However, what I will especially remember and what I appreciate about him the most was the way that he took care of his family. Married for 55 years and a devoted husband and father is an example all men should strive to follow.
