My principal in harrison school

Doc Sparrow, a man that loved life to its fullest and lived it without any apologies. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed laughter, and stepping out with his white shoes at Summertime. When I think of Doc, I think of him with my father and the few select buddies that used to meet at my dads house on Fridays (after work) to imbibe, tell tales, and laugh throughout the evening. One of the best who ever led, managed, supervised,.mentored, served, developed and most of all successfully guided a complex organization! Dr. Sparrow, much love!!!!

I'am a former student of Dr. Sparrow and I can honestly say he was the nicest, kind, and firm Principal I have ever had! Will never forget his warm embrace @ Marie Reed Elementary!!

Dr. Sparrow...thank you for not only being a great principle but a great person...you will always be a Marie H Reed Tiger...before and after school you stood outside to make sure all the kids were safe...I will never forget you..as you embedded some of the great morals you stood by into a young black male that is now a man!

To the Sparrow Family,

"Doc" was my father's dearest friend, a brother to the end. We loved him dearly. He will always remain in the hearts of my family and never forgotten.

May he rest in peace.
