John St. Clergy Obituary

John Peter St. Clergy beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle passed away in the early morning hours of July 1, 2014. He was 58 years old. John will be remembered for his witty personality, kindheartedness, and soft demeanor. Born January 23, 1956 in Marksville, Louisiana, he was the oldest child of three by parents, Dr. Clyde & Mary Ann (Armand) St. Clergy who preceded him in death. After graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Geology he married his soul mate, Lucy (Boswell) St. Clergy in February 1981. They had two beautiful children. John pursued a successful career in the oil industry. He retired from Baker Hughes in 2013. During his leisure time he enjoyed being with his family. John also loved fishing, golfing, boating and cooking. John was passionate about LSU and The New Orleans Saints. He was well respected, strong role model, and father figure to those that knew and loved him, especially his great nieces and nephews who nicknamed him "Uncle John "John" and took pleasure in being spoiled by his love and kindness. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who all agree he is gone before his time. He joins his parents and daughter, Rachel St. Clergy in heaven while leaving behind his dearly loved wife, Lucy, their son Dustin (Channing) St. Clergy, his sisters Tammy Jordan and Monique (Wayne) Perritt, his nieces Jeanne Marie Lousao and Elise Perritt, his nephews Glenn Jordan and Connor Perritt, his great niece Madilynne Marie Jordan, and his great nephew, Noah Lousao. Services for John Peter St. Clergy will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Green Oaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, in Baton Rouge. We are sad to hear the passing of John. Our family has fond memories of the entire St. Clergy family. Our girls grew up, only a few houses away, with John and of course, Tammy. He was a gentle and kind soul early on in his life. We know he'll be missed
