Not sure what to say?

Zois esas. A great man and a great Greek Orthodox Christian.
May his memory be eternal!

Dear Mary and family,
May you find comfort knowing you all are in our prayers for strength and peace. John as you know is beloved by many. Always a kind word from a kind man. May his memory be eternal.

Mary,
I will miss John walking into the church with that beautiful smile on his face.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

John was one of my dad's (Norman Smith's) best friends. The were both teachers at Albert Einstein HS. Dad always spoke highly of John. I remember the times when I was a kid, John was always so nice and friendly to everyone. Our heard and prayers go out to the Stephanos family during this difficult time.

I extend my deepest sympathies to the Stephanos family. I have fond memories of John. He was always kind, gentle, and always welcoming.
Much love, Helen Perrus Vallone

Mary, we are sorry to hear about your loss. Our deepest sympathy to you, and your family. John was a great man.

John was a good man. I remember when I was a young kid and my Dad (Norman Smith) taught in the room next to John at Einstein High School. Several times I dumped "type" all over John's classroom floor. Dad would scold me and John would just laugh. Our deepest sympathy go out to Mary and her children.

I remember John fondly when I was an altar boy at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Washington, DC during 1966-67. John volunteered his time to work with the altar boys as our instructor and mentor. Thank you, John! May the Lord bring your peace and rest in your heavenly home.

So sorry for the loss of this great man and teacher. I was in his printing class at Albert Einstein HS in 1971-72. As one of the few girls in his classes, he took the time to make sure I was treated well by the Boys! With his help, I went on to making my own graduation announcements, wrote a monthly newsletter for the 6th grade class where I was an aide and a life long love of graphics. May he rest in peace!
