I deemed it an honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to work closely with John Stroger while he served as President of the National Association of Counties. John was a leader, a professional, and a fighter for the causes he believed in. He will be missed.

to The Family
My condolences. I know that your hearts are heavy with grief. At Psalm 34:18 God said "he is near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed is spirit he saves." I hope that this will bring the family a measure of comfort in this time of deep sorrow.
You Have my deepest sympathy.

While I did not know him personally, Mr. Stroger was a great friend of my Uncle, Commander John D. Chamberlin, Jr. (Ret. Chicago Police Department) for most of my life. On behalf of Commander's Family (Chamberlin/Parker), I extend my sincere sympathy to the Family of John Stroger. It is my hope that they (Uncle Doug & John Stroger) are now in Heaven, laughing and remembering the times that they had together. May God Bless the Stroger Family.

May your paving the way for so many in Cook County never be forgotten. May your soul rest in peace. May the Lord care for the hurting hearts of the Stroger family as you are laid to rest. Peace to you from our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
