Not sure what to say?

I knew Father Tapper through Boy Scouts Troup 309 approximately 1974-6. He was a class act!! We had summer camp in Wisconsin, it was storming in different directions, he afraid for us, took us to a safe spot, hunkered low to the ground and we got wet but were safe. I was the token protestant in the Troup and got my religious medal and he always was proud to tell everyone how hard I worked compared to how easy it was for the Catholics. I think it was easier for me than them. RIP Father...

On the anniversary of Jack's passing, we continue to miss his gentle spirit in our lives. His love and compassion for others was a beacon of light. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

I remember him during my days at St. Francis De Sales school. He was always kind to all of us and treated us well. RIP to a truly great man of God.

Dear Mary Ann,

I found out about this yesterday when I got home from Buffalo, NY after visiting my fathers grave for Father
Lovingly,

Father Tapper helped me through the darkest time of my life, when my 25 year old brother, who was also my best friend, died in an accident in 1976. Six years later, I was planning my wedding. By then, Father Tapper had left Lake Zurich and moved to Prospect Heights. I asked if it would be possible to have him return to St. Francis de Sales to officiate. We were happy and grateful that he was willing and able to be there. It was so wonderful, after having him with our family during such a...

Father Tapper will always hold a special place in our family's hearts! He was one in a million and so very kind and gentle. Truly Christ on earth! We will truly miss you! We know you will be cheering on the Packers up there! Love you Father Tapper!

Father Tapper sprinkled his gift of kindness and thoughtfulness onto my family. He remembered, although I don't know how, that our son, David, loved trains. Unbeknownst to us, he was an avid train enthusiast, as well. Father Tapper never forgot and would give him a train calendar each year. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one I'll never forget. Enjoy heaven, you certainly deserve it!

We were blessed to have you in our lives. We love and miss you!

A marvelous and welcoming pastor during his years at St. Ansgar's. We appreciated his compassion and understanding and jovial attitude toward life. He was also a fellow train enthusiast making him a very human friend. Mary Ann, his sister, was supportive of his hobbies and wishes. We will miss his Christmas greetings full of news.
