Not sure what to say?

i am your cousin in ruston, michelle fox lanigan. i found this at my library. my mom told me about your husband. i am really sorry. please, give auntie a hug and kiss for me. even is she don't remember who i am....it would be nice.

For Patsy, John and all his loved ones, I add my prayers and express my best wishes. My admiration for John began as a classmate at the old St. John's High (now Loyola).

What I remember best was a calm, winning personality and outstanding performance in three sports. On those rare occasions when we met after graduation, he always downplayed those efforts. I don't want his kids or grandkids to believe that. He was good, kids, really good.

It wasn't surprising that he...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Mrs. Pat and all the family,
You are in my prayers as you lay John to rest. I have much treasure on the other side too. Thank God, Jesus has taken the sting out of death and made a way for us to our eternal home. Papa is home and we will be too some day soon. I can still see him on his golf cart zipping around amd making sure everyone had what they needed.
Love, Linda Hatcher Jimmy's Mom

This is from those of us who grew up on Claiborne Ave in the 40s and 50s - John (his Dad always called him "Frankie") was part of our gang, even though he lived "back in the woods behind the Linwood Apartments. Those were fun times and John was a large part of the fun we had growing up then. He will be missed - his poetry, however, will live on forever.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to John Franklin Templin our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for John. And to John it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the...

Mrs. Templin and Johnny, I was so sorry to see that Mr. Templin had passed away, I think back fondly of all the good times we had in Cherokee Park as kids and he was a big part of it.
