Not sure what to say?

I just received notice of John's death in the College of Idaho's QUEST magazine. My dad, Robert Waterman,a former Lowell Scott teacher, just died last October and I know he would have wanted to send condoloences. I, too, remember Mr. Turnbull fondly from my years in the Meridian School District. And my dad and I shared his and his son's love of horses.

So sorry to hear about John, Arty. He was a great person and lots of fun. We have enjoyed you both so much. Dick enjoyed teaching with him and his sense of humor! Please keep in touch.

To the Turnbull Family: Please accept my condolences. Mr.Turnbull was an individual who touched many lives in a very positive way. My first teaching position was when John was principal at MHS. I would not have stayed in education for 26 years without his guidance and encouragement in the beginning. He was a legend to those who had the priviledge to work with him in education.

My sympathy to the Turnbull family.

Aunt Artie, John, Marsha, Annette, and Scott,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle John. I wish I could have been there to see all of you. I'm glad I was there to visit with Uncle John and some of you last April when Hazel was here from Scotland. I have many fond memories of trips to the ranch(s) in Carey and Middleton. My love to all of you, Your niece and cousin,

Our sincere condolences to the Turnbull family on your great loss. We were students when John was vice-principal & then Dean taught under him at the new Meridian High. He was a great example of things that really matter, and a great servant of the Meridian School District.

Arty, John, Marsha, Detsey and Scott. I just wanted to send my condolances to all. I was not able to get to the funerall, but you were on my mind. This brought back a lot of memories of when I was a kid, coming to visit the ranch in the summer times. I remember Uncle John's teasing. It was hard to tell if he was serious or not lots of times. Take care and may God bless and comfort all of you.
Your niece and cousin,

Annette, Gunner, and Artie,

Please accept our condolences in the loss of your father, grandfather, and husband. We appreciate the positive influence he had in our children's lives while they attended Meridian High. We know you will miss him, but we also know he is in a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Turnbull Family:

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband and father. Although it has been many years since I have seen any of you, I have thought of you often and have fond memories of those times I visited Marsha at your home and the good times we had as kids.
