Not sure what to say?

Fond memories my friend from college days to golf days. Rest in peace.

V2 was a coworker, foursome member in both SFFD golf leagues, and a friend. He was laid back, funny, and generous. He shared his cozy Tahoma cabin with the members of Engine 36 for some legendary ski trips that provided some wonderful memories, laughs, and stories that are repeated to this day. Our apres-ski festivities would begin in Tahoe City and often times culminate at The Gold Spike in Tahoma, where we would wish the bartender a fond good evening as he was locking the door behind us....

I went to high school with John and saw him yearly at the party I had at my house. He will be missed and remembered for his peaceful kindness and happy smile. May his memory be a blessing.

Sorry to hear V2 has passed to the other side! Worked many years with John at thirty six, easy going, always a pleasure to be around. You'll be missed. Stevie Smith

My heart felt sympathy goes out to Kathy and all of John's family. John was a great guy and a great Fireman. I worked with VV for several years. He was the greatest and a true gentleman. God Bless V V Steve O'Neill

So sorry to hear of JOHN´s passing. He was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. Really knew his stuff and always felt safe knowing he was one of the team. God bless you, JOHN and God bless your family. Rest in peace.

John was always a gentleman, he always had a smile, and he always had a good word for his friends and workmates. But most of all John was a good fireman.

I FIRST met Double V in the SFFD at Engine 36. Lots of great firefighters and officers there. John was one of my favorites. Low key and friendly, he did his job well while spreading laughter inside the firehouse. Very competent while working at fires and Haz Mat scenes. Double V will be missed. RIP, Brother Elmer Carr Retired SFFD

V2, you were a friend and a great guy to be around. I will always remember your generosity with trips to your Tahoe cabin and all the golf games that sometimes extended well into the evening afterward! My condolences to your entire family. Another great member of 36 we will always remember.
