Father John Birthday with Bruce Hathaway
BK Kirkpatrick...Always a joyous occasion to celebrate Father John's birthday May 27th with a dinner at my home in San Antonio. Earlier birthday's were celebrated with 40 or so of John's friends from Big John Hamilton days and as years went by the party got smaller and John said he liked the small dinners so he could visit with everyone. His kindness and prayers were important to all who knew him and his energy was boundless. He will be missed on this earth and we will have a great reunion in...

Dearest Father Wagner, I give thanks to God for the many years with
You in our lives. I met you through Charles when you were chaplain of
The Newman Club at San Antonio College. We had many blessed and

Father Wagner was our parish priest. He married my husband and I. Baptized our first child and helped my mother and my family through a difficult time when my father passed away suddenly. He was a very compasinate man. He served many well. Rest In Peace.

He spent his life dedicated to the service of the needy and...

Father Wagner was the Hernández family priest for 50 years and
when I married Lidia Hernández in 1977 he officiated. I was not a Catholic but he made me and my family feel welcome and held a joyous marriage mass ceremony that touched my family, Lidia and myself in a very profound way. Thus Lidia and I have stayed friends with Father John and have kept in touch with him ever since. He was a kind and humble man, did not talk much about his past accomplishments (which were many) but...
