John was a gift to the field of law and the backbone of the firm that he helped to create. His partners were lucky to have a man such as that driving that firm along.

A sincere and great person in every sense of the word, Mr. Weeks was the true workhorse of the law firm he owned and practiced at as long as I can remember. He will truly be missed.

My prayers are with John's family. Having worked as John's secretary for the last eight years, I am truly missing him. He was wonderful to work for, and was very nice to me. He always told me to “Be Sweet”. May we take comfort in knowing we will all be together again one day.

I worked with John for many years in his work with OPSO. Having a legal problem always turned out to be a bright spot in any day, as John always had an erudite and dryly humorous way of explaining the complexities of the law. I will miss him.

Charlotte, it is with a heavy heart that I send to you my most sincere condolences on John's passing. You may remember that I worked for John in the beginning of his career as an attorney. I have fond memories of him and I am so very sorry for your loss. May God lay His hands upon you and your family and give you His peace at this most difficult time in your lives.

John was a great great man when I worked for "Usry & Weeks" from 1988 to 1998. He was like a close friend and would always tell me: "sit like a pretty lady Tammy." I was such a tomboy and he continued to encourage me to be the best that I could be. He will always been close to my heart. R.I.P. my friend. God bless.

To the family of John Weeks: I am an attorney in Colorado. I had the honor of working with John during the last four years and more importantly the pleasure of meeting him and getting to know him. John was a very insightful and practical man who brought not only wisdom but also wit to every matter and every issue in the case. Where others saw obstacles, John saw solutions. I learned from John and I am sure that every lawyer who had the pleasure and honor of working with John learned from him also. His attitude, his demeanor, and the example he showed, even in the last weeks that I knew him (I last saw him at the end of June) are the epitome of class and grace.

I am very sorry for your loss and please accept my deepest sympathy for your grief.
