John was the kindest man I have ever met. He always greeted you with a smile, a sincere hug and an open ear. He walked the walk and talked the talk to everyone he met. He will always be remembered by his haram!

I remember back in the day, we would work the Friday night bingo at the KC hall. Afterwards we would all go to Abe's to eat. If you told them that it was someone's birthday, they would give us a small cake. Of course, it was always somebody's birthday - usually John's birthday. We always had a great time playing softball together. I never could figure out why he always called Podnuh's BBQ - partners bbq. Just never could get rid of that yankee accent. I still tell that story when we go eat...
