Not sure what to say?

12 years of Catholic school did not prepare me for falling in love with my Jewish college classmate and deciding to marry. After a devastating meeting with the canon law priest in DC, who informed me that such a union was impossible within the Church, God steered me to Fr. Wintermeyer at GW who joined with AU´s Rabbi White to officiate at our ceremony and bless our marriage. Decades later, I discovered that Fr. Wintermeyer had obtained a dispensation to make sure I remained a Catholic in...

Father Wintermyer continues to remain at the top of our memories. My brother, Robert, and I were just remembering some of our good times together Saturday. We miss you.

I will pray for his soul. May he rest in peace.

Quite simply.....I always saw Fr. Wintermyer as a saint.

Jack was an amazing mentor at the GWU Chaplaincy, his generous heart, always apparent in everything he did expressed his true capacity to be a servant of God. I join the many who will miss him! RIP old friend.

One of the brightest lights ever is gone from us. Jack could always be counted on for help in any given situation. we grieve, and we know where he is. no more Christmas greetings in July.

Father Jack was a hoot, and we loved him at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Such a joyful presence. Keep on smiling and watching over us, Father Jack.

He was truly a holy man.

Jack had the kindest, unassuming soul! He & his bestie helped me through my darkest time and for that, I will be eternally grateful "Fleetwood Jack" was nick named by my musical husband! Jack will sorely be missed by so many, I feel so blessed to have known him Thank you, Aunt Theresa for bringing him into all our lives. God Rest His Precious Soul
