John D. "Jack" Woolever

I extend warm thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Mr. Woolever. I was in the charter class at Pine View and have always held a special place in my heart for our principal. He led with integrity, respect, intelligence, innovation, and a special sense of caring for each of us. He shared personally in the excitement, pride, and anticipation experienced by students, faculty, and staff as we embarked on what we could sense would be an historical beginning. Mr. Woolever was my Biology teacher at Riverview, way back in 1961. He was a wonderful teacher, one whom I never forgor. I would see his name in the paper over the years and it always brought fond memories. My prayers and condolences to his family.

I would like to extend my prayers and condolences to Mr. Woolever's family. Please know that he was well loved by many of us who attended Pine View. I just read about Jack's death and want to send my thoughts and prayers for PEACE go his family. Jack and Pat were the first Riverview High School Faculty se met when we moved to Sarasota in 1958.
