Not sure what to say?

John, Charles and I are cousins. Our blessed grandmothers were very close first cousins. John and Charles would come to McKinney to visit and we got to play together while our grannies cooked, laughed, shared news about all the relatives and had a wonderful time. My grandmother was Ray McLarry Lucas and the boys´ grandmother was Elma Hunn Younger, who I called Aunt Elma. I looked forward to the visits because John and Charles were such fun! I last saw John at McKinney´s Chesnut Square...

I am truly sorry to hear about John´s passing. "Tex" and I were classmates at New Hampton. We played football together. I can tell you that the hardest hit I ever took was from John in practice. We used to say that John was 157 pounds of "blue-twisted-steel." I believe the last time I saw John was at our 50th Reunion in 2009. We hadn´t seen each other since graduation. New Hampton was good for us. We were both PG´s or post graduates. New Hampton helped us to get accepted at better schools...

John Younger, a complete lawyer in every sense of the word, always there to lend a helping hand, a fighter for his clients, especially for the poor and disadvantaged, and a good friend-- Rest In Peace, John!

Our hearts are with you, Chica, and the wonderful children you and John share. May God's comfort surround you.

My cousin John was an incredible person who leaves behind a great legacy. I'm proud to call him one of my relatives and I'll always treasure the great times and laughs we shared together. My prayers go out to the Younger family. May God comfort you all during this tough time. I'll see you in the next life John!

I send my heartfelt condolences to you, Chica, and your family for your terrible loss of your beloved John. He was one of the kindest people I know--a wonderful, caring person who loved his family and was greatly valued by his huge collection of friends. He was a great friend to me and was one of the most generous, caring and compassionate people I know. I will always remember him with love.

Dear Younger family, my heart hurts for your loss. John will continue to be a sweetheart in my memories. He was an exceptional boss to my sister Princess. I had the pleasure of babysitting the kiddos once. Then giving family massages in your home. Also he came to Comfort once to fly fish on Cypress Creek trying unsuccessful to teach me to cast. Those memories live on and I am so blessed to have known John, a precious soul. God Bless.

John was a very fine man and a great friend. Always had a smile and a good word. He will be missed!

My JFY, I will miss you! I will miss calling you on your birthdays. Safe travels... Love, Maria
