Not sure what to say?

Great family. Diane and Johnny and friends would visit McGinley's Pocono Trail Lodge in Blakeslee, Pa, Pocono's every summer . A great family, Friends. Johnny was one of the nicest people i have ever known and was surely one of the greatest Philadelphia Phillie's ball players. Surely miss Johnny, It was great to see him and the great Tom Woodeshick conversing at the bar about Philly and the old days. Fond memories!!!

He was an amazing baseball player and he was an amazing great uncle, i'll never forget him.

He was my all time favorite player

In 1964 I was 7 years old and lived in the same apartment complex, Mount Vernon Gardens apts off Edgehill road, as Mr Callison and his family. His building was literally 40 ft out side of our back bedroom window. I knew his daughter Lori and we were friends and used to play in the apartment complex. She was my first crush and I'd like to think that I was hers too. I didn't know much about baseball then and didn't have anybody in my family to help me appreciate it. We moved away in January of...

Mr. Callison may you be at Peace, Those who live in the hearts they leave behind will never die...........

I´ve loved the Phillies since the 1950s as a youngster. My favorite player ever was Johnny Callison who I loved to watch play. I thought him and Roberto Clemente were the best ever at throwing out runners from the outfield. I went to the all star game he won with a home run. I saw him play a lot but I never met him. But I´m sure he was a very nice person.

Johnny C had a gun for an arm and was a tremendous ball player - very consistent and a great right fielder

Johnny was my childhood baseball hero, when we chose up sides for a game in South Philly we all wanted to be Johnny Callison. Reading about Johnny transports me back to those hot summer days playing baseball at Mosconi Park.

Mr. Callison ment a great deal to me as a young boy, Thank you sir, Prayers for you and your family......May Our Lord Bless and Keep You
