This is John Perry Poole, Ps. 18:2 ( this is what comes to me when i think of him) ( he was dear to me, more than a friend.) Love John Perry Poole & deceased wife Margie

Dr Cook actually helped me change my life by offering a way to express my spiritual understanding through his delivery of sermons stat were biblically based and thought provoking.

I was saddened by his departure but not alone in the thinking behind his sermons. With the local guidance of Bishop Lee Moore, I received the best Christian education a person could easily incorporate into righteous thinking.

I only learned of Dr. J.L. Cook passing this morning. I was stunned, he and I have enjoyed many conversations over the 5 years we have known each other. I was impressed and moved by his genuine concern for myself and others, he always demonstrated a keen desire to help me with what ever was asked of him. I considered him a real friend and Brother in Christ, and a tireless co-labor in the harvest field of the Lord. I will surely miss Dr. Johnny Lee Cook and look forward to seeing him again in...

Thanks to a wonderful Christian man...for all the souls you reached for Jesus and for coming to Benson Grove to speak at my graduation from our Bible Institute...It meant so much to me and I will never forget it...I miss you Bro. Johnny but Heaven has a new choir member...You were awesome and so humble...love you always and you too sister Judy...from Kaye Allen

I have never known a man more kind and gentle than Dr. J. L. Cook. He loved everybody regardless of race, color or creed. If you were a human being, he loved you. I am so thankful our lives crossed. He was such an inspiration to me. Every time I went to the Graduation, he was so happy to see me. He always had time for me. He even came to Albany, GA at his expense to help me promote our School. We went on TV, and he spoke on behalf of the School. He made me feel so proud. I loved him...

With our deepest sympathy.

Our prayers are with Johnny's family at this time. We just found out about his passing and are saddened by it. He was a wonderful, giving person. Until we meet again.

I was so sadden to hear of this news. Dr. Cook was a very loving and caring man of God. I hope I will be able to reach out to perfect stangers and show the love of God as he did.
God bless you Cook family. God bless you. He is heavens gain.
