Not sure what to say?

It was great to know and play golf with Johnny. If you asked, he would help with golf swing and/or putting tips. He loved the game of golf. He played golf in more countries and more golf courses than anyone I know. Johnny will be missed.

I met Johnny as I worked with his wife for many great years of teaching. Johnny fixed my furnace. He shared stories of his military service, golfing, childhood memories and his opinions. Betty and Johnny gave me my sweet dog, Teddy. He was always helpful, friendly and kind. He will be missed.

I've had the great pleasure of playing golf and listening to Johnny's stories of the holler and his travels through out his life. Eagle hills crew won't be the same. Rest in peace!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

We enjoyed visiting with John every time he came to our Eagle home to help with furnace issues. His golfing abilities were legendary. One story he told was: He overheard a couple of young men, who were to be competing with him in a tournament, make the comment "look at that old man". He scored significantly lower than either of them--he didn't "look" like the typical golfer, but he could golf! He was kind and personable. Condolences to Betty, Cindy and family.

Johnny was a kind and gentle man always so sweet and friendly to me and my husband Sonny. He will surely be missed

Johnny was one of the best golfers that I have ever had the pleasure of playing with at Eagle Hills and certainly one of the best in the valley in his hay days. Self taught, I remember playing with him when he was 79 years old and he still had the ability to shoot under par. Great guy, thank you for the memories Johnny! RIP.

Enjoyed chatting with you at Eagle hills golf course Johnny!
