Our families go back a long way, I remember Jon when he played basketball with my older brothers in high school. I remember what a great person he always was and how he was always nice to people. I remember how I always looked up to him. I remember being in the Monroeville golf league and thinking what a great person he was. 34 years ago Coach Crates taught me a little bit about baseball, and a whole lot about life. I saw him just a few times since those days, but the legacy of life that he left with myself, and the rest of the "boys" of the Monroeville Youth Baseball League, will live forever.
