Jeanie, Jeff, Jason, Tessa and family,
Our families go back a long way, I remember Jon when he played basketball with my older brothers in high school. I remember what a great person he always was and how he was always nice to people. I remember how I always looked up to him. I remember being in the Monroeville golf league and thinking what a great person he was. Several years ago we roomed together on a golf trip in Tennessee during spring break. I will never forget all the fun we had. I will always remember Jon for the strong person he has always been and his great personality. May God bless Jon and all of you in your time of sorrow.

34 years ago Coach Crates taught me a little bit about baseball, and a whole lot about life. I saw him just a few times since those days, but the legacy of life that he left with myself, and the rest of the "boys" of the Monroeville Youth Baseball League, will live forever.

I will always remember Jon as the great basketball player and all around sports participant. It just doesn't seem possible that we are now losing our classmates. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
