They left us with the memories of their kindness and unique personalities. As before, we will light a candle tomorrow to celebrate both of their lives.

I just learned of John's passing and it's a surprise. We were bookselling peers and friends since the 1990s. He had a good run and certainly lived life on his own terms. My wife has lit a candle for him, as we do to commemorate the life of a good soul.
