Jon, I hope you are well my friend. I'll always remember so many good times together. I was recently thinking of you and our extended group of friends. I can't believe your visit to Cuse' sophomore year would be the last time we would see each other. Many of us rally around your memory when we meet; there are always such positive memories shared. I'll always remember the first time we really talked, I was wearing overalls running around behind the bleachers at the high school football...

Son, It has been over a year since we last saw you. Our lives go on, but beneath it all the deep ache of your absence remains, as does our love for you. You brought so much joy to us. Our time with you was much too "short but sweet for certain".

I feel lucky to be one of the ones who saw more than the muscle man who used to threaten to beat me up whenever I came over. Underneath that was a sensitive young man who's passion for living was only surpassed by your fierce love for your family and friends. May God watch over you as well as you did your sister.
