I just attended a retirement party for a close friend of Jon´s at Tuck and it was there I that learned of Jon´s passing. I fully expected Jon to be there and am so sorry to hear this belated news. I am a Tuck alumna and had a long career there before departing several years ago. I worked closely with Jon on a number of special projects for Tuck, in support of our capital campaigns and the celebrations to honor Dean Danos. To Allison and all the Cohen family. My deepest condolences. I was a first-year student at Tuck when I interviewed with Jon in 1982. Somehow, I made it through the Goldman Sachs interview process and joined the firm as a Summer Associate that year and full-time beginning in 1983. Jon was foundational for my successes in life, both professionally and personally. I am forever grateful for his support, guidance and friendship.

A good man and a better friend. Jon was a faithful mentor in the best sense - modest, scrupulously honest and wise. He was also great fun to be around, knowledgable and interesting and quick. He played a singular role as trustee of the Wildlife Conservation Society. I always learned something valuable from spending time with Jon and will miss him.
