Jose Martin Trejo, a dedicated worker in the construction industry and a cherished family man, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Mathis, Texas. Born on November 26, 1968, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Jose spent his life building not only structures but also lasting relationships with those around him.
Known for his unwavering love for his family, Jose was a pillar of strength and support. He is survived by his father, Cristino Trejo, and his mother, Lorenza Escobar, whose guidance and values shaped him into the devoted individual he became. His legacy continues through his brothers, Cristino Trejo Jr., Juan Trejo, Sergio Trejo, Samuel Trejo Sr., and Daniel Trejo, who will carry his memory forward in their hearts.
Jose was not just a hardworker; he was a man of great character and kindness, cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Each of them holds dear a unique memory of Jose, a testament to the profound impact he had on the lives he touched.
His passing marks the end of a significant chapter in the lives of all who knew him, but his spirit will endure through the countless lives he influenced. Jose Trejo will be remembered fondly for his dedication, warmth, and the strong bonds he forged with his loved ones. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of many.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Winsteads' Funeral Home, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will follow services at Tom Mathis Cemetery.
