Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Barboriak and Family,

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Barboriak's death when I got back into town this weekend.

We go back to the 70's when I began my career in research at the VA. He was brilliant, kind and an excellent teacher and friend to many. He was a model for young scientists to follow.

He used to visit my office at least once a week long after he retired. Now that I am working at MCW, he would still stop by my office here just to say...

I am so sorry to hear of you loss. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. My deepest sympathy

Dear Mrs. Barboriak and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked in Pharmacology for a short time and came to know Dr. Barboriak during his visits to keep up with the Department's activities. He was one of the most kind, gentle and caring people I have ever met. He will be missed.

Dear Gertrude,

I'm sorry to hear of Joe's death. I didn't find out until today or I would have stopped for the service. Joe was a major mentor for me as I started my career at the Medical College in 1978. I greatly appreciated his insight and his ability to guide. I also appreciated the chance to work with his sons as they were developing their research careers.

My condolences.

Mrs Barboriak and family,

Dr Barboriak will be missed. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. I appreciated all his support throughout my career. I joined the MCW faculty and VA staff in 1980. Dr Barboriak was a constant inspiration through his scholarship and inquisitiveness. I thought the words by his son at the funeral were perfect and captured the man completely. We will all miss him and we continue to benefit from his contributions.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Barboriak. I had the pleasure of working with him many moons ago at the VA. He was a very charming man. Dr. Barboriak was also a devoted scientist, a hard worker who happend to enjoy the challenge of his lab.

Mrs. Barboriak, I am sad to hear about Dr. Barboriak's passing. I was a secretary in Pharmacology with him for a good number of years; I have not one negative memory. I would go to him with my nutrition questions and general chat. Even when I moved to another dept., anytime we saw each other in the cafeteria, he had a friendly greeting. I am sorry for your loss-I'll be praying.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Barboriak. I had the honor of being one of his physicians for a number of years. Like many, I was profoundly moved by his spirit and wisdom. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife and extended family. Marcy Neuburg, MD
