I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Benich. I echo what Robert said. He was present at every practice and game. I think of him often as I am doing the same thing now with my own two kids. He was one of the men that helped guide a generation of Mount Pleasant boys growing up. He could always make you laugh. To the Benich Family, I am sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Benich....I loved talking to him as a younger man after all of the practices and games we shared with JJ- he could make anyone laugh. He loved watching his son play and I have often thought about him now that I am doing the same thing with my own boys. Dear Benich Family,

I am very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. For those of us who grew up and played soccer with JJ, he was a legend - never will we forget his patrolling the sidelines with his yellow video camera and cigar and his enthusiasm for the action on the field. I can still hear him yelling, "Pass it to Jay!" in his unique voice.
