Not sure what to say?

He was a wonderful person. We graduated from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at Penn in the class of 1955.

All of us at the Engineers Club of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation are grateful to have known and worked with Joe. His dedication to the Philadelphia Engineering community leaves a lasting legacy and we share our heartfelt condolences to Frances and all of Joes family and Friends.

It broke my heart to read of Joes passing. At precisely the time when we need men of principle and leadership the most, it is hard to imagine a world without him. His energy, ideals and his commitment to always do the most selfless task first made Joe a role model for my life. Dear Francis,

I was so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. Please know that you remain in my heart and prayers during this difficult time. God bless you and your family.
Sincerely,

I haven't seen him in perhaps 15 years, but always hoped to have lunch with him again, somehow and somewhere. Now I know that isn't possible. Sad but proud to have known him - Mary Hanson, Former Public...

Living Spirit Dishgarden

Francis and Ray,
We are so sorry for your loss. Whenever we would get together at a family event, Debbie and I always enjoyed our conversations and time spent together with Joseph and you (Francis). We will miss him.

Dennis and I worked at UPENN during his time as dean of SEAS. We learned so much and took his example with us when we moved to Florida 30 years ago. Our sympathies to his family.
