Joe and I grew up on Elm Street in Topsham. We were born a month apart. I have many wonderful memories of the times we spent together in our youth. We both joined the Navy in 1951. In 1955, Joe was an usher at my wedding to Ruth Fryer in Hartford, CT. Our most recent meeting was when both of us served in the Maine House of Representatives in the late nineties and early 2000's.
