I am so sadden to hear of the passing of Joe. He was a wonderful person who left an everlasting impression on the lives of those he met. He was a generious, kind and honest person. I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Cleary Family,

I received my most recent edition of the Boston College Magazine today and was so saddened to read of Joe's passing. While I was a class behind Joe at B.C., I had the good fortune to live across the hall from him his junior year. Your son, brother, husband, father and friend was a fantastic person who brought many laughs to me and my roommates. Joe brought much joy to the people around him and I hope that these memories bring you comfort.

I just found out today about Joes death, my prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family, as you know Pat my boy Sean idolized Joe when he was growing up, he would always tell all his little buddies with so much pride that he was friends with a real pro hockey player, he will be greatly missed

Only yesterday I learned about the
passing of Joe. I met him at BC where
I followed the hockey team. Joe was a
tremendous person...a beautiful human
being. I am shocked,and will keep Joe
in my thoughts and prayers. We where
all fortunate to know him.
