Not sure what to say?

Worked with Max in the 80’s at Food Town. He was the most respected man I ever had the pleasure and honer to work with in my nearly 49 year history in retail.

We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We are thinking about you and your family with our hearts and remembering you in our prayers.

Growing up in the country (as it was then), my mom and dad always raised a big garden. I so fondly remember taking produce that I reluctantly helped gather, to the grocery store and selling it to "Mr Max". He was a kind, gentle, generous soul whom I had a lot of respect and admiration for. He may be gone now, but his blessings will never be forgotten. Thoughts and Prayers....

As a young 16 year old boy, Mr. Coltrane hired me as a bag boy, stocker, and eventually cashier at Food Town (Food Lion). He put up with my antics, taught me a strong work ethic and cared about me. At 61 years old today, I am grateful and thank God for the opportunity to have worked for Max Coltrane. He was a blessing to me.

I am sorry to hear about Max's death. He was a great person and I always looked forward to see him at church. I know we will meet again.

Joe & Family,

We are very sorry to learn of your loss. Please know you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Memories are the chain that bind our hearts together.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family of Max Cpltrane. We both knew Max and cherished his friendship. We always enjoyed giving him a double hug when he came to church. We will truly miss him. From the Ford twins, Mary & Jan

Dear Joe and Family: So sorry to read of the passing of your Dad. You are all in my prayers.
