Prayers and condolences to Joe's family. My name is Ed Aguirre and Joe and I were good friends back in high school and beyond. I spent a lot of time at his parents house back then listening to and recording music together. Sending all the love to our beloved Duerscherl family. I have so many fond memories from my childhood because of Joey! He welcomed us all as family and made sure we were always laughing and having a good time! What an amazing person!!

I am saddened to learn of Joe's passing. I personally experienced Joe (and the Duerscherl) family love and hospitality as when we were at St Matt's. I spent many a day in the Duerscherl basement playing the game D'Jur with him....and I usually lost. He was my favorite "westie". Please accept my condolences at this difficult time. My all those great memories assuage the grief you now feel. I have no doubt he has reunited with those who preceded him on the journey to heaven.
