Dear John and Epler family members, Your father was a valued founder/contributor to the FDR Community Challenge Fund, which has helped countless Dominican families to improve their homes and communities. Based on reading of his obit, he was a wonderful man. Thank you Joseph Epler!

I met Joe through Kiwanis, where he was a long time member of North Central. Always helpful, always kind, he was one of the best kind and will be missed by many. Alida Fretz

Dear Eplers, I knew Joe through his long association with Hamilton House as well as being a fellow Kiwanian. His unfailing generosity and goodwill set the stage for wonderful experiences for many people. Hamilton house honored him at a dinner and I was fortunate to voice their recognition by naming him "A Seattle Treasure". I am aware that his influence was felt even farther a field. He will be missed and remembered with affection and gratitude.
Warm regards to your family.

Joe visited my little office office many times at ICHB. I loved hearing about his life. Now he is on a new journey and, though he will be missed, we can take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.
Blessings on you, Joe and thanks for the many memories we will have.

I served with Joe on the Millionair Charity Board for many years. He was both capable and gracious, simply wanting to make a contribution in a humble way. I feel better off for knowing him.

Dear Eplers,
Joe's presence here among us all for all those years was such a gift. He was remarkable in so many ways. One great memory I cherish was working with John and Joe one lovely day building a retaining wall at the triplex on the ridge. I was astounded by his strength and wonderful manner. He "managed" this project with encouragement, knowledge, and his own extraordinary effort.
Joe is the first person I think of when the term human being is brought up. A man of so many talents but most of all a giving, generous asset to our community.
We are better people just by being his friend.
We are so thankful to have shared some of his time.
