The Fisher family was living in the 3600 block of Smart Avenue in Old Northeast Kansas City when my parents purchased the house next door to them in 1945. . They were wonderful neighbors and I had some very good times with both Wendell and "Nickie" before they moved away as they were close to my age. I don't believe I ever saw Wendell again, but did see his parents on occasion as Wendell's maternal grandmother (Annie Savoca) later moved into their house. Wonderful memories!

Joe (Wendell) was a great friend at Argentine High School. It has been very painful to see this nasty disease gradually erode a really fine man. Grace and Peace to the whole family. Ron Holland
