Joseph Foglio

JOSEPH FOGLIO (Age 81)  
Died on April 30, 2011 at his home in Chantilly, VA. He was born on January 26, 1930 in Arlington, VA to the late Nicola and Francesca (Santini) Foglio. Mr. Foglio was an Army Veteran who served our country in the Korean Conflict. He was the founder of Joe's Tree Farm in Chantilly, a member of the Knights of Columbus George Brent Council #5332, a member of All Saints Catholic Church and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 100. Joe was a pitcher for the Northern Virginia Senior Softball Association. He is predeceased by his parents Nicola and Francesca; brothers: Michael and Dominic; sister, Anne and wife Elizabeth. Survivors include his daughters Linda Mitchem and Shugie Kraske; sisters Elizabeth Lambert and Betty Brooks; brother James Foglio; grandchildren Lisa Jeffery, Sarah Jeffery, Ashley Dickerson, Joseph Dickerson, Amira Kraske, Kayla Kraske, Zoe Kraske, Dax Kraske; great-grandchild Haley Clay and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of flowers or donations to Catholic Charities, 924 G. Street, N.W.
