Not sure what to say?

Phil, Kathy, Mary Ellen and Tissie:

I just heard about Joe's (Oh the heck with it - Jody's) passing. A fine man. The world needs more of him, to get things going and keep things going. And Linda and I will always appreciate Grace's arranging for us to be the host family for Lt. Dieter and Karin Panitzki of the Luftwaffe - a real pleasure and honor. All the best to all the Goodells.

I will pray for all of you during this very sad time, however, Mr. Goodell would probably have you celebrating his life! God Bless...Sally...

I had the good fortune of knowing Joe Goodell, through my friendship with his daughter Martha. I have found personal inspiration through his drive, curiosity, intellect, and generosity. Most of all though, I will cherish my memories of his sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor. His lifelong love of playing the prankster has me fondly recalling tales of attempts at leaving an MIT mark welded to the rival's Harvard statue, the "Lion" delivered to his daughters from the zoo, and of course my...
