Think of the good times we spent with Joe and Lollie regularly, always in our hearts. David and Elaine (in England)

Elaine and I first met Joe and Betty at the Newport Beach Hotel Miami Florida in 1980. It was our first trip to the USA and we were a little in awe of everything. Joe and Betty took us under their wing and took us everywhere in the following week, they treated us like we were their family. We later met up with Joe and Lolly in 1992 whilst Joe was having radiation treatment in Sarasota, we were staying at Treasure Island just up the coast and we went to see them for a couple of hours and...

Freindships that last a lifetime, not many people can claim that, but Joe, Sam Schwartz and my father had that kind of magical friendship. I am proud to have also developed that same friendship with Joe and Sam. Joe was very kind to our whole family. We spent many vacations in Louisville and then when they moved to Florida we visited there. Joe kept that wonderful friendship with my mother even after my father died. He was truly a MENSCH.
