Dear Rosemary, Creighton, Travis & Rachel - I am startled and saddened to read of Joe´s passing. A more composed and considerate gentleman cannot be conceived. For nearly half a century Joe generously volunteered untold hours as the Pit´s chief groundskeeper and naturalist. Of course pond activities always came under the heading of recreation, still Joe´s efforts and initiatives were recognized and appreciated by everyone with a stake in the property.
