Joseph Kieraldo

Worked with Joe for many years at DDHS. Was very sad when he passed. He gave me a Coffee cup that has a wavy music staff with three eighth notes with men inside the notes where middle C would be, and it says "Well men, it looks like we´re `hopelessly lost at C´. I still have it. I will never forget Joe...wonderful man and teacher.

Having Joe visit Mystery to Me on Monroe Street was always a reminder as to why having an independent bookstore is important. We'll miss his stories and his joy for life. I did attempt to send a card your way but it came back to me. All of us at the store send our deepest sympathy. He was so wonderfully genuine and a true joy to be around. Worked with Joe at Delavan-Darien High School. I am saddened to hear of his passing and will keep his family in my prayers.

You are missed already. I miss our talks about baseball (mainly about the Cubs) and your teaching me so much about all music, especially jazz. Thanks for the vivid memories.
