We just heard from Joe's sister Kathryn who lives in Connecticut of Joe" death but knew nothing else. After checking the internet we told her what we found. Joe Slay, a legend in his own right. Not an evil bone in his body. Was loved by all. I reemember the wonderful times at the "Southern Luncheonette". Always dancing and singing. I had always asked of Joe Slay and I was told he had passed away. This is truly a shock to me as I liked Joe. I was born and raised with him on S. Chadwick St., in S. Phila.
