He was my favorite and coolest high school teach at University High in Bloomington, Indiana. He challenged us and taught us to think and we loved him for it.
I had the opportunity to make contact with him a few years ago to tell him what a huge influence he had on my life and my love of American history. Because of him, all "roads of interest" in my life lead to history. He made a difference and we were fortunate to have passed his way. Yes, I do remember that laugh He was one of the best.
