Kathie and Family -- Kathie, Jim and I never really got a chance to get to know you, but we have known Joe for many years. We will miss him and wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Joe was truly a loving and caring person and we'll always remember camping and canoeing.

One of the warmest, good natured hearts that I have ever met belonged to Joe. He was the kind of man that loved to laugh and be with friends. I will hold to heart all of the good times on our annual house boat trip. Kathie be comforted in knowing that his life touched so many others and that his kindness and generousity will never be forgotten. Love, NP

God bless you, Kathy and the Polhe family. I have had the honor of knowing Joe since high school. Back when Joe, Steve, Mark, and Mike had the band (Avatar) and practiced down in Steve's basement, I would go with Joe and sing sometimes. Joe was always an inspiration to me. He helped me through some tough times in my life. Joe had a way of making me want to be the best person I could be. Because that's the kind of person he was. He never passed judgement, and always accepted everyone...

Joe had a big heart. When I needed him, he was there without passing judgement on me. This isn't fair and is hard to believe. He'll remain alive in my memories and will be sorely missed. God bless you in this time of pain.
