One of the warmest, good natured hearts that I have ever met belonged to Joe. He was the kind of man that loved to laugh and be with friends. I will hold to heart all of the good times on our annual house boat trip. Kathie be comforted in knowing that his life touched so many others and that his kindness and generousity will never be forgotten. Love, NP

God bless you, Kathy and the Polhe family. I have had the honor of knowing Joe since high school. Back when Joe, Steve, Mark, and Mike had the band (Avatar) and practiced down in Steve's basement, I would go with Joe and sing sometimes. Joe was always an inspiration to me. He helped me through some tough times in my life. Joe had a way of making me want to be the best person I could be. Because that's the kind of person he was. He never passed judgement, and always accepted everyone for who they were, not who he thought they should be; and I cherish that to this day. Kathy, I have never met you but I already know how very special you must be, and my heart hurts for you and your children. If there's anything I can do for you or Mrs. Polhe, or Joe's sisters, please let me know. Rest in peace, Joe. You are gone, but not forgotten. Patti Snapp (Ravenscraft) (419) 882-6824

Joe had a big heart. When I needed him, he was there without passing judgement on me. This isn't fair and is hard to believe. He'll remain alive in my memories and will be sorely missed. God bless you in this time of pain.

We will miss Joe and will always remember the good times we had together. Joe always greeted his friends with a hug or kiss. With this warm gesture he let us know that we were friends, we were loved, and everything was alright. Joe and his family will always be in our prayers.

Kathie and Mrs. Pohle,

I am so terribly sad for the loss of your husband and son. Going all through school with Joe, I know first hand what a wonderful man he was.

Ironically, Christel Britts and Werner Bartech are my next door neighbors on the lake. I am so sad my beau and I missed their party last Friday night, as it would have been so wonderful to be with you and Joe, Kathie. Christel is so grateful to have had you both there.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I wish I had something more to offer your hearts at such a difficult time.

God Bless,

Kimberly McAfee-Glenn
